How To Stream Multiple Cameras On One Live Stream with Splitcam, OBS, and XSplit 2022
Hi guys, and welcome back to another video. In today’s episode, I’m going to be answering one of the questions I got in my comments box. The question was how can they stream multiple webcams to the same platform at the same time kind of a little bit like this stay tuned to the rest of the video to find out how to do it.
Hi guys, I’m UKDAZZZ as always is important to remind you that if you do want to add multiple cameras to your live stream, you will need to have two cameras. The first way I’m going to show you how to add multiple cameras to your live stream is by using Splitcam.
Okay, so click on the blue plus key at the top and click on webcams. And as you can see, I’ve got both my webcams plugged in and I just click Add Camera to add your second camera, click on the plus key at the top again and select Web camera. This time you want to choose the other camera. So there you go. That’s the second one loaded on top and to see both of them drag the corner in. And you can see there I’ve got both cameras live. If you’ve got your campsite set up, then all you need to do is click on the Go Live button in the middle.
If you haven’t, then click on the top right-hand side and set up your webcam sites. If you don’t know how to set up your camsite, then check out the video in the top right-hand side of the screen. Now if you’ve never used Splitcam to stream to multiple platforms at the same time, then check out the video above it will tell you how to do that.
The next programme I’m going to show you on how to do the same thing is by using OBS. The first thing you’re going to need to do is to click on the plus key in sources and select video capture device. Click OK. And in the drop-down here, select your first webcam. Click OK again and drag this image to fit the size of that little black screen in the middle there. As you can see, I’m doing my best to do both. Now to add your second camera click plus again video capture sources.
Okay, and this time select the second webcam click OK again and this time you want to drag it in to make it smaller so it fits inside that screen there. As you can see both cameras are running live at the same time. All you need to do now is start your live streams on your webcam sites. If you don’t know how to do that, then check out the video in the top right. If you want a tutorial on how to use OBS, then check out the video above.
It’ll show you basics on how to stream to multiple platforms and I say basics. Because OBS is quite an in-depth programme it takes a lot of getting used to so just bear in mind it’s not a full tutorial but it is a good start.
The final programme I’m going to show you how to use is XSplit. XSplit is a paid programme it offers more effects and filters for your live stream. If you do want to see a full list of features for XSplit then check out the link in the description below. It is very good value for money. So if you do want to use XSplit there is an affiliate link at the bottom of the description.
Here’s how to add your cameras. First, you’ll need to click on Add Source in the bottom left-hand side and go up to devices and video and select your first USB camera. Wait for it to load and once it has, you can start moving it around the screen. Now go back into EdSource again, back to devices video and add your second camera.
Once it’s loaded, drag the corners out to make sure it fits the size of your screen. As you can see my second camera has blocked the first one so all I need to do is click on the arrow key in the bottom right and it will put the other camera on top. All you need to do now is start your live stream.
