Hi, guys, and welcome back to another blog on how to become a webcam model.

And in today’s blog, we’re going to be covering how to turn your old mobile phone into your new webcam.

Now I know I’ve said in other blogs, don’t use your phone for webcamming.

I still go by that I don’t think you should be tapping away at the screen where your clients can see that.

You’re on a mobile phone. I don’t think you should do that.

What I am talking about is turning your old mobile phone into a new external camera for your laptop.

Everyone’s got old mobile phones sitting around their house in a drawer somewhere not being used. There’s a very good chance that the camera on the back of your mobile phone is better than the one on your laptop, or you currently already have.

So why not use your old mobile phone’s camera as a new external HD camera for your live streaming?

How To Download Iriun

Here’s what you need to do, head over to Iriun.com on your phone and on your laptop. Then you’re going to want to download Iriun on both devices. The good thing here is if you’ve got a Windows laptop, and an iPhone, it will still work. So once you’ve downloaded and installed Iriun on your phone and on your laptop, you’re good to go.

What you will need to make sure is both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If you don’t want to use a Wi-Fi network, you can also use a USB cable making it exactly the same as a normal webcam. Now I’ve tested Iriun on Streamate, Skyprivate, Chaturbate, and on OBS, and there has not been a single problem.

What I will warn you is if you’re using the Wi-Fi to connect the two devices, the higher the resolution you set on the phone it will slightly affect the quality of the stream it will become a little bit laggy so that’s where you want to use your USB cable. Another really good feature is you can turn the backlight on your phone, so you can almost use it as a ring light.

Is Iriun Pro Wirth It?

Now there is a pro version of Verizon. You don’t really need it. It has a few extra features, but overall Everything you need is in the free version. That’s it for this video guys. I hope you found it useful. I only made it for people to get the most out of their own technology possibly even get a free upgrade on their old webcam.
